Description
The project is developed to access a machine only by an authorized operator. Here each and every operator in the organization has to maintain one card for his access to the machine. A reader is provided to read the data from the card assigned to the authorized operator. Whenever the data in the smart card is matched with the inbuilt operator’s data in the code then LCD display would indicate that the card is accepted. Optionally a relay can be used to ON/OFF the machine in case access control is required. The power supply consists of a step down transformer 230/12V, which steps down the voltage to 12V AC. This is converted to DC using a Bridge rectifier. The ripples are removed using a capacitive filter and it is then regulated to +5V using a voltage regulator 7805 which is required for the operation of the microcontroller and other components.
